Ok, maybe "Amazing Grace", "Hey Jude", "Manzanar", and Handel's "Messiah Chorus" are better... but after four years of repeated listening, the Dropkick Murphy's "The Gauntlet" is my fifth favorite song of all time. It even beats out two songs I have been singing consistently for over thirty years: "If you are Happy and You Know It" and the Oscar Meyer Wiener song.

The drum intro to the Dropkick Murphy's "The Gauntlet" is amazing and makes me happy even when all else fails and my world is falling apart. The lyrics are an inspirational anthem to fight back. And... Al Barr's growl kicks serious Bootay.

Forget dumb ole' fire fightin' bad eyebrowed McColgan... Let's talk Barr...

I heart the Murphys... Thankfully, they are putting out another CD in June.

Unique bird of the day: Saw a crow pulling a part a small hawk on top of a rusted metal oil pump/rig in Long Beach today. Was wondering if the hawk was dead or alive when the crow got it? Due to driving by at 45 mph, did not take a photo.

SVN: While I hate SubVersion with a passion, C. Michael Pilato has been kind enough to put up a pdf version of his O'Reilly book online. I will try to reconcile myself with SVN. Maybe. Maybe not. Darn it all, I like FTP!
